CollegeWares started in 2019 while our founder was in college.

The original idea was actually called CollegeWare(house). The plan was to sell dorm essentials to students before move-in and make it easier to get everything in one place.

There was just one problem: Amazon already existed.

So the idea changed.

Instead of selling the same dorm stuff everyone could find anywhere, CollegeWares started focusing on products people couldn’t find everywhere else. We began making designs of our own, with flags becoming a big part of the business.

People bought them. So we kept going.

What started as a college side project eventually became CollegeWares.

Flags are still a huge part of who we are, but we’re not just a flag company anymore.

Today, CollegeWares makes flags, tapestries, posters, apparel, rave gear, custom products, and more.

Our designs cover everything from memes, parties and college life to music, raves, sports, movies, weed, questionable decisions, and plenty of things that don’t fit neatly into a category.

We also make products that have absolutely nothing to do with partying. Sometimes we just like an idea.

The common thread is pretty simple: make things that are worth putting on your wall, wearing out, giving to a friend, or starting a conversation over.

A lot has changed since 2019, but CollegeWares is still a small business.

We work with a network of designers, creators, production partners, and suppliers to turn our ideas into actual products. Many of our products are printed specifically when they’re ordered rather than sitting in a warehouse waiting to sell.

We’re constantly working on new designs, testing new product ideas, improving existing products, and paying attention to what our customers actually want.

Not every idea is a winner. The good ones make it to the site.

The name is CollegeWares because that’s where we started, not because that’s where you have to leave us.

CollegeWares has made its way into dorm rooms, apartments, houses, bedrooms, basements, frat houses, festivals, raves, parties, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and plenty of places we probably don’t know about.

If you’ve got an empty wall, an upcoming festival, a dumb inside joke, or just want something different, there’s probably something here for you.

And if there isn’t, you can always make your own.

CollegeWares has changed a lot since that first idea in 2019, and we don’t expect that to stop.

There are more designs to make, more products to try, and probably a few ideas we’ll look back on and wonder why we ever made them.

We’re good with that.
